Borax

Sodium borate is a natural salt frequently sold as a laundry booster. Its mild alkalinity neutralizes acids in water, helping to boost the cleaning power of laundry and dishwashing detergents. Borax helps loosen soils and stains, and it works well as a deodorizer. In addition, a solution of borax and water is a good, non-toxic mildew and mold remover on hard surfaces.
