Good gardening!

Now that we’re right in the middle of gardening season (in the northern hemisphere, anyway), you might be thinking it’s too late to start. But several crops can be planted throughout the summer and even into the fall. Check with your local extension to see if they have a growing guide available for your state.

If you’ve already got a garden growing, now is the time to be on the lookout for potential threats to your harvest. Learn how to deal with spider mites, mealy bugs, and aphids in these articles by the National Gardening Association.

When working on your lawn or in your garden, please remember that oft-repeated mantra: Safety first. These tips from the CDC bear repeating. See the article, “Health and Safety Tips for Gardeners.”
