Don Hay
Don Hay is founder and president of Maid Brigade Systems Inc., an international residential cleaning service with over 365 franchised territories throughout the United States, Canada and Ireland. Established in 1979 and initially franchised in 1984, the company's annual sales are approximately $47 million.
Before founding Maid Brigade, Hay founded The Hampton Service, a commercial cleaning company in Toronto, Canada, in 1968.
Through Hay’s leadership, Maid Brigade has earned several franchising accolades, including ranking in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Franchises (2003) and Success Magazine’s Top 200 Franchise Organizations (2000). Hay’s company has been featured in Successful Franchising, Female Entrepreneur, and many other publications, and was chosen FranNet’s “Franchisor of the Year” in 2003 and 2004.
Hay is a member of the International Franchise Association and the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta.
Hay is a graduate of Ryerson University in Toronto and a graduate of Harvard University’s Executive Education Program (Owner/President’s Program).
