Computer keyboard

Always unplug keyboards before cleaning them. Remove dust by gently vacuuming the surface using a soft brush attachment, or by inverting the keyboard, tapping the back lightly to dislodge particles, and brushing the dust out from between the keys.

Rubbing alcohol may be used to clean fingerprints and grime on and around the individual keys. Dampen, don’t soak, a cotton swab or small, soft cloth for this task. Avoid using common household cleaners on plastic components, since these alkalis can damage the plastic.

Proceed carefully: Any fluid that makes its way onto the conductive surface underneath the keys can short out the keyboard and destroy it quickly.
