Laundry Room Checklist

Organizing your laundry room not only keeps it looking clean, it is one quick and easy way to help keep you and your family safe. Use this checklist when organizing your laundry room, doing spring cleaning or for a quick review of safety tips.

Storing Products

❑ Keep laundry products out of the reach of children and pets.

 

❑ Keep products in original containers, with labels intact.

 

❑ Close products after use and put away in an appropriate storage location.

 

Washer & Dryer

Using Products

❑ Read product safety and first aid information on packages to know what to do before accidents happen.

 

❑ Follow product instructions, and pay close attention to “Caution,” “Warning,” “Danger,” or “Poison” statements.

 

❑ Keep the Poison Control Center phone number handy: 800-222-1222.

 

❑ Do laundry without distractions.

 

❑ Clean up any spills immediately.

 

❑ Do not combine laundry detergents with other cleaning products.

 

Following Product Use

❑ After doing laundry, wash hands as well as items used to dispense or measure products.

 

❑ Do not use containers of empty detergent to store any other materials.

 

❑ Recycle empty laundry containers when possible or dispose of them properly.
