The iRobot Roomba® Robotic Floorvac is the industry’s first commercially successful home robot and has sold more than 1.2 million units since its launch in Fall 2002.
Roomba combines iRobot's unique advanced navigation technology with a three-stage cleaning system to automatically clean floors, including hardwood, carpet, tile and linoleum. Roomba’s compact shape allows it to clean completely under beds and other furniture, so it cleans more of the floor than standard upright vacuums.
Roomba is easy to use. Its non-marring bumper protects walls and furniture from scuffing. The Discovery line also features break-through technology, including Dirt Detect™ which allows Roomba to detect dirtier areas and respond by increasing the intensity of its cleaning. Its self-charging Home Base™ allows the Roomba Discovery line to charge itself after it has finished a cleaning mission or when the vacuum senses its battery is running low.
