Honeywell HEPAClean Whisper Quiet Air Purifier (Model: HHT-149-CST) uses several different methods to remove airborne contaminants. First, it uses odor control pre-filters to capture large particles and reduce common household odors from pets, smoke, cooking, and nurseries. Next, it uses germ fighting ultraviolet light (optional, since it can be turned on or off) that kills viruses, bacteria, fungi, and mold spores. Third, it uses HEPAClean (HEPA-Type)* Filters to capture 99% of dust, pet dander, smoke, and pollen. Fourth, it uses an ionizer (optional, since it can be turned on or off) to capture additional fine particles.

Other features of the Honeywell HEPAClean Whisper Quiet Air Purifier include: 12 cleaning power levels, auto-off timer (1-18 hrs.), time-to-clean-the-filter gauge, on-off oscillator, and permanent HEPAClean filters. Most effective in medium rooms of 180 sq. ft.

*HEPAClean HEPA-Type filters help capture airborne particles that are 2 microns or larger in size from the air that passes through the filter.
