Mopping is hard work that requires a lot of elbow grease and equipment that will withstand extensive use. An innovative line of mops and accessories manufactured by Mary Moppins, Eugene, OR, received very good reviews when tested by a panel of cleaning professionals.
The mop features Velcro®-type fasteners that are attached to firm, closed cell foam tubing that moisture won't penetrate. The system firmly holds any terry cloth towel in place, which provides the versatility required to use the mop for damping mopping, washing walls and ceilings or drying off vehicles and boats. The company guarantees to cut cleaning time up to 85%--a claim the testing team corroborated--which translates to saving hours of time laboring over buckets of water and rinsing mops.
Members of the testing team said that the system comes with clear instructions, and was faster and easier to use compared to self-wringing mops. Reviewers preferred Mary Moppins to other flat mops including microfiber mops. They expressed a preference for the 14-inch mop head over the nine-inch version.
Well-liked features include the extendable handle, which eased strain on the user's back. The cushion hand grip was rated very high, and individuals testing the mop indicated they would like to see this feature on all mopping/sweeping products.
The cleaning professionals concluded that the best overall feature of Mary Moppins was the fact that they were able to use the tool for multiple applications, which would result in personnel having to carry only one tool as compared to two or three.
Mary Moppins is rated as a unique system that works better than other mops previously used by members of the testing team. They were pleased with the system, and are considering changing over to Mary Moppins products for use in their business.
