The SmartShopperUSA is an organizational tool to be used by anyone who would like to save time putting together a shopping list. The SmartShopperUSA will record your voice, compile a shopping list and then print it out. It mounts easily to a wall, next to a refrigerator, garage or craftsroom.
There is a master list of pre-loaded items with a number of additional features. Of note is the ability to change the list before printing it out. If there is an item on your list you didn’t mean to put there, just highlight it and delete. Other features allow you to flag items that you have coupons for, designate quantities and adjust the recording levels. We found the recording worked best when speaking about five to six inches away from the center of the unit.
You can add custom items to the library by going to the main menu and highlighting "Library Selection." There you are given an alphabet to type in the custom items you would like to add to the library. The custom feature on this device also makes it useful for carpentry, home improvement or scrapbooking list makers.
The SmartShopperUSA comes with two rolls of paper. The refills could easily be obtained at any office supply store. We found this to be a great idea for last minute list making. The only con was the size of the device: seven inches tall by four inches wide. We would like to see it closer to the size of a Blackberry.
