Features of the CMM1000

Battery operated lawn care products have come a long way in the past few years.   One of the best examples is the  Black and Decker CMM1000 19” Cordless Lawn Mower.

Right out of the box the CMM1000 is different.  First, there is no assembly required.

Unlike other mowers requiring gas, the CMM1000 mower is a welcome change to the environment and to anyone who has ever inhaled the fumes or listened to the noise from a gas mower. In addition to the battery, one of the best features on this lawn mower is the starter that requires one flip of a switch, compared to the many pulls of a starting cord that gas powered mowers require. Another feature worth noting is the one-touch height adjustment.  This feature adjusts all four wheels from 1 ½" – 3 ½", for that perfectly manicured look.

CMM1000 can cut up to 1/3 of an acre on a full charge.  We cut 1/8 of an acre without losing power and were pleased to have the option of either mulching or bagging. The battery charged up to 60% after 4 hours and 100% after 16 hours.

We found this mower worked fine and would recommend it for ordinary use.

Cost: US$449
