Stain-X All In 1 polish can be used on wood, plastic, glass and stainless steel. We compared it with another multi-surface polish.
As a housekeeping service, Quality Cleaning Maid to Order looks for a multi-surface cleaner and polish to remove normal soil, such as fingerprints, light soil and dust, while leaving a streak-free shine. Although we found that both products gave satisfactory results, we were impressed by the shine that the Stain-X product gave to all surfaces.
The $12-per-bottle price tag, however, had us seriously considering just how much of this product we would use in comparison to our current glass cleaner and furniture cleaner ensemble. As professional cleaners, we are able to purchase glass cleaner for pennies per gallon. But even putting ourselves in the homeowner’s shoes, we found the price of this item to be on the high side when compared to purchasing separate glass cleaner and polish(es). This cost could be outweighed, however, by considering the storage of just one item rather than multiple products.
We noted that the Stain-X product fell between a liquid type of product and a wax in its consistency. It has a slight chemical smell.
