The Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum is one of the best upright vacuums I have tested to date. It has some great features that make it easy to use and very effective at removing dirt and asthma/allergy triggers from your home. The Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum has an automatic carpet height adjustment so you don't have to stop cleaning to change the height of the vacuum. This great feature lets you go from cleaning thick carpeting to vacuuming hard floors without having to stop.
The Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum also has the best attachments that I have used. The extension wand is built onto the hose and telescopes rather than having additional pieces to add on. This allows a variety of length choices so you never have too little or too much length on your extensions. To activate the extension wand you simply lock the handle in the upright position and turn a large knob on the back of the vacuum to switch suction to the attachments.
The unit also features two motors that both create airflow and suction. By having a motor dedicated to airflow, the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum is able to filter much more of the air that comes through the vacuum with its high quality HEPA filter. The second motor enhances the suction that pulls the dirt and debris from your floors. The dual motor set up in the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum gives you both filtration efficiency and cleaning power at the same time.
A quick look around the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum and you will see that the majority of the parts on the vacuum are metal rather than plastic. This is done to make the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum very durable; even the axles and bushings in the wheels are metal.
The filtration system on the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum is superb. It features a three stage system of a three layer electrostatic bag, a three layer charcoal filter and a HEPA filter. The manufacturer claims the filtration system is so effective that each "molecule of air" pulled into the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum is filtered seven times.
Cleaning with the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum
In use the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum simply outperforms every other upright I have used. It is very easy to use and the attachments are quick and convenient. The vacuum was able to remove even very fine sand and corn starch from the deep grout lines in my hard floors.
The beater bar on the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum may be turned off for use on hard floors with an easy-to-use toggle switch mounted right near your thumb for quick access. I also was able to use the dusting attachment for floors and ceilings thanks to the long reach of the attachment wand.
While the cleaning head of the Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum is very tall, it was able to get under most cabinets and furniture easily. The Simplicity Synergy Upright Vacuum is a bit on the heavy side thanks to the abundance of metal used in its construction rather than typical plastic. I personally think that is a good thing, but people with limited strength may find it difficult to carry up and down stairs.
